Schiermonnikoog is an island just of the coast of the Netherlands with approximately 1000 inhabitants and only one village with the same name.
There are very few vehicles on the island as visitors are not allowed to bring their own. Ample parking facilities at low costs are available close to the dock in Lauwersoog on the mainland from where the ferries are leaving
The distance from the ferry landing on the island to the apartments is approximately 3.5 km and there are taxis and buses that will take you there.
You may also take a local bus with destination Reddingsweg and get of at the bus stop “Reddingsweg” or alternatively take the bus with destination Oosterreeweg and get of at 'Herberg Rijsbergen'.
